It's that time of year again!

We've finally finished moving our warehouse to our new location - which took much longer than we expected! The new space is slightly smaller than our old space, so we've run into a little issue. We've got tons of great new product coming in, and no place to put it - so you can help us out by shopping at our limited time inventory reduction sale! Local Pickup and Save The Shipping!

 

When we were closing the store, we promised our local customers we would have a solution to our "in store pickup" option. Many were used to being able to order online and come pick up their order from us, and were interested in being able to continue that with us.

We're so happy to announce that we are now officially offering a "local pickup" again! If you live in Washington State and are willing to meet us somewhere (or, if you are relatively close to us and would like us to drop it off at your home) you can simply select the local pickup option at checkout. We'll get your order together and contact you to arrange a meet.

If you're outside of Washington but will be in the area, contact us and we'll get you figured out!

We Are Moving ... Online!

We Are Moving!

To our wonderful friends and customers,

We are extremely excited to announce that we are moving! More accurately, we are closing our physical storefront and moving strictly online. We have a thriving online storefront, and we will be putting all our effort and energy into growing online.

As our family is growing and maturing, we are finding that our values are not in line with our lives. As much as we LOVE the store at the holidays, it does mean that we virtually miss the entire holiday season with our kids. With a 7 yr old and an almost 3 yr old, we strongly feel that we need to refocus and provide the kids with a different life (for now).

We are haivng fun exploring all our options for the future - including vending in trunk shows, craft shows, and even opening a booth in various shops around the area. We're not sure where exactly this adventure will take us yet, but we're sure excited to be making the first steps!

Make sure, if you haven't already, that you sign up for our eNews off of our website! This will help you keep up with us, from where we might be participating in a show to sales that we're holding online, to new product that we have coming in!

So, what does this mean for our online customers?

• Our customer service will be fully focused on you
• Our inventory will be much, MUCH more accurate and real time
• We are shipping orders throughout this entire process. There will be a space of a few days mid-August where we will NOT be able to ship - but we'll be posting that information soon (once we figure it out!)
• Our 800# phone number will remain the same
• We will be upgrading the website, including our ticket system, and to make the site more user friendly
• We are anticipating very high in store customer volume over the next two weeks. If you call and must leave a message, we are making an extremely active effort to return calls immediately. We also have beefed up staffing behind the counter throughout this process to do our best to minimize the impact this has for our online customers.

So, what does this mean for our local customers?

• We are having a "moving sale" starting on Monday July 21, 2014. In an effort to make this move happen as smoothly as possible, we are discounting vast amounts of our in-store inventory. This sale isn't valid online.
• We will be shutting the doors on our physical retail storefront as of Sunday August 10th. "In-Store" pickup will NOT be available after that date until further notice - although we will be offering this in the future again (more of a "meet us for pickup", is our current thought).
• We love you all and will miss you at Country Village, but we are looking forward to seeing you at our future endeavors, both online and locally!

We LOVE Country Village, and are we hope that our locals will continue to support the fantastic businesses here. We will very much miss being a part of this community, but our path is leading us elsewhere, and we are at peace with the direction we are being led. We are truly looking forward to building our relationship with you online!

Annual Chocolate Tasting, 2014

If you missed this tasty event last year - or if you showed up late (and thus missed it, because attendance was so high) - you definitely don't want to miss this year's event! Coming up in one week, on Saturday February 8, 2014 from 2pm - 6pm.

Come sample chocolate treats throughout many of the shops in Bothell's Country Village. Many shops will have the chocolate that they are sampling for sale, should you be so inclined. Here at The Weed Patch, we will be sampling our fantastic fudge, our phenominal Abdallah Chocolates, and maybe even something more!

Come by, say hello, indulge just a little, and take home some yumminess!

Superbowl Sunday - GO SEAHAWKS!

If you haven't heard (yes, we know there are those of you that haven't heard; it's super hard to ignore here in Seattle, though..) the Seattle Seahawks are headed to the Superbowl, which will be played this coming Sunday February 2, 2014.  

In honor of this (up to this point) rare occassion, we will be closing the store at 3ish pm on Sunday.  There are several shops in Country Village that are closing, and some that are staying open.  However, here in Seattle, we're about 99.999% certain that nobody will be interested in shopping, as Seahawks Fever has completely gripped the area.  

If you feel the need to come shop on Sunday, please snag THIS COUPON (Good in-store only, and only between 11am - 3pm on Sunday February 2, 2014; excludes all other sales and discounts) and come before the game!

If you'd rather, you can certainly come shop today and tomorrow instead - and be sure you pay attention to THIS, instead! :)

 

Spinach Artichoke Dip (Cooking Light Recipe)

Many of you enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip we served at this past Taste of the Holidays Wine Walk, so we thought we'd point you over to the recipe that we used.  This is not our recipe, but comes from Cooking Light Magazine (one of our favorite cooking magazines), and the recipe was located on www.myrecipes.com.  Please note, if you follow us on Pinterest, this is the same recipe we pinned - we just thought we'd share it here on the blog, too. 

Please note: we did NOT use "less fat" or "fat free" ingredients.  We used the full of fat ingredients.  That said, we have never made a recipe from Cooking Light that didn't taste amazing, using their exact ingredient list.

The Last Shipping Day of 2013

Please note that the last day we will be shipping items out until after Christmas is Monday December 16th, 2013.

We are a small, family owned business - and every year we shut down shipping operations a few days before Christmas to enable us to slow down a very small amount and spend some much needed time with our family.

In stock orders placed by the 16th will ship immediately. If your order is placed after the 16th, we cannot promise that it will ship until the first of the year.

If you have items on your order that are not in stock, we will ship what we have, unless you have entered order notes to the contrary.
